About the role

  • Own the AI opportunity across an entire business domain, mapping workflows and sizing opportunities

  • Extract reusable connectors, evaluation harnesses, and workflow patterns from successful builds
  • Instrument outcomes and report cumulative portfolio value to domain leadership
  • Design agents with traces, evaluations, and human-in-the-loop gates for evidence-based autonomy
  • Use Claude, OpenAI, and the orchestration platform daily to inform platform choices
  • Build trust with function leaders, navigate competing priorities, and secure sponsorship
  • Review designs and code, unblock engineers, interview candidates, and mentor team members
  • Design and implement production-grade applications around agents and AI workflows
  • Report to the Head of Applied AI

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Proven ownership of a domain, program, or product area with roadmap responsibility
  • Multiple end-to-end agentic or AI-powered solutions deployed to real users in more than one context
  • Daily fluency with Claude, OpenAI, or similar AI models
  • Strong knowledge of AI frameworks, evaluations, harnesses, and orchestration
  • Experience translating business problems into scoped, sequenced software portfolios
  • Ability to architect and independently build agent systems
  • Strong application engineering experience, preferably full-stack
  • Experience building and shipping production applications
  • Sound architectural judgment across frontend and backend systems
  • Experience with frontend APIs, state, latency, reliability, security, and scalability
  • Track record of improving other engineers through review, mentorship, patterns, or tooling
  • Strong communication with operators, engineers, and executives
  • Active tracking of current AI models, tools, and techniques
  • Legal authorization to work in the United States
