About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Lead high-priority, cross-functional programs across Finance, Accounting, Legal, IT, and Operations
- Lead process design and documentation across finance and operations workstreams
- Identify gaps between current practices and scaled institutional standards
- Coordinate controls readiness, documentation, testing timelines, and remediation plans with Accounting and Internal Audit
- Track and drive resolution of financial statement presentation, disclosure, and accounting policy items
- Support board and audit committee reporting packages
- Identify opportunities to reduce manual effort, increase automation, and create scalable Finance processes
- Prepare program status updates, executive presentations, and milestone materials for CFO reviews, audit committee meetings, and advisor sessions
- Build and maintain stakeholder communication frameworks
- Translate complex program status into clear narratives and visual formats for senior leadership
- Maintain program documentation, decisions, and institutional knowledge continuity
- Coordinate external legal counsel, financial advisors, and consultants and integrate deliverables into the master program plan
Requirements
What you’ll need- 4–7 years of experience in finance, strategy, management consulting, investment banking, or a related field
- Prior exposure to finance transformation, controls buildout, scaled reporting infrastructure, or complex cross-functional program management strongly preferred
- Exceptional project management skills across complex, multi-workstream programs
- Ability to drive accountability across teams without direct authority
- Strong financial acumen and understanding of financial reporting, accounting concepts, and operational finance
- Clear, confident, polished written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to distill complexity into executive-ready materials
- High ownership mentality and bias toward action
- Ability to anticipate problems, drive clarity from ambiguity, and act independently
- Collaborative ability to build trust across functions and seniority levels, including with C-suite leaders and external advisors
- Strong proficiency in Excel/Sheets and AI tools
- Familiarity with financial systems such as NetSuite is a plus
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related field required
- MBA or CPA is a plus
- Must be able to work legally in the United States; employment eligibility validated through e-Verify
