About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Under the direction of the Office of Equity, Diversity, Inclusion, Accessibility and Indigenous Relations (EDIA-RPA), the incumbent promotes the activities related to the “Inclusivity Works” project to employers and employment service providers.
- The role’s mission is to raise project participants’ awareness of accessibility and inclusion in order to encourage the adoption of related policies and practices.
- In doing so, the position actively contributes to the creation of a diverse and inclusive workforce.
- Prepare and revise professional documents such as reports, presentations, agendas and meeting minutes.
- Collaborate with the employment sector, student support services, community groups and other key providers and partners.
Requirements
What you’ll need- Two-year post-secondary diploma or equivalent in Business Administration, Public Relations, Office Administration, Digital Media, or a related field;
- Minimum of three years’ experience in administrative services, preferably in a coordination role;
- Experience creating, planning and managing content across various social media platforms;
- Demonstrated experience and commitment to Inclusion, Diversity, Equity and Accessibility (IDEA) and support for IDEA initiatives;
- Ability to coordinate logistics for events, conferences and training sessions, virtual or in-person, ensuring careful management of details;
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills;
- Fluent in French and English, both spoken and written;
- Ability to exercise tact and discretion;
- Strong initiative, judgment, organizational and planning skills, and excellent interpersonal skills;
- Excellent knowledge of word processing software (Word), spreadsheets (Excel), presentation software (PowerPoint), databases (Access), email (Outlook) and the Internet;
- Experience working both as part of a team and independently;
- Ability to travel within the province;
- Valid Ontario driver’s licence.
