About the role

  • Analyze customer, consumer, and market data to identify trends, patterns, and actionable insights.
  • Design and execute primary research initiatives, including surveys, focus groups, and competitive assessments.
  • Synthesize quantitative and qualitative data from multiple sources to support product development, marketing strategy, and customer initiatives.
  • Develop clear, concise reporting and visualizations to communicate insights to cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Partner with Marketing, Product, and Sales teams to answer business questions and guide decision-making.
  • Maintain and enhance customer and research databases; ensure data accuracy and consistency.
  • Contribute to competitive and category understanding through ongoing monitoring and targeted analysis.
  • Support strategic initiatives with timely, insight-driven recommendations.
  • Work with Product Marketing, Brand Marketing, and Channel Marketing to develop relevant strategies targeting specific market, product and Trade customer opportunities/category management
  • Integrate industry, primary and secondary sources of information (Zonda, John Burns, NHAB, ALA, Virtual Rain, AOLP, Etc) to provide a comprehensive view of the market
  • Calculate and report market size utilizing data points from various sources
  • Monitor and maintain competitor dashboards, attend competitor earnings calls/review earnings reports.
  • Annual competitor deep dive analyses and reporting. e.g., win/loss analysis, competitive landscape assessments, competitive product analysis, pricing intelligence, competitive messaging, and positioning.
  • Recommend and apply best-practice competitive intelligence methodologies
  • Create influential data visualizations to highlight growth opportunities for leadership

Requirements

  • Strong experience in customer or consumer insights, market research, or analytics.
  • Working knowledge of qualitative and quantitative research methods.
  • 10 years minimum experience in data insights or similar field
  • Bachelor's degree in business analytics, finance or business preferred
  • Proficiency in data analysis and visualization tools (e.g., Excel, Power BI, PPT, or similar platforms).
  • Ability to translate data into clear business implications and recommendations.
  • Strong communication skills with experience presenting insights to non-technical audiences.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects while meeting deadlines.
