About the role
- Running design evaluations through AutoReview, analyzing results, and classifying output quality
- Identifying gaps in model performance and communicating them clearly to ML and product teams
- Collaborating with internal experts to triangulate insights and evolve internal systems
- Supporting prompt tuning and testing to improve how we communicate with LLMs
- Providing ongoing feedback that helps us train AutoReview on the kinds of issues real engineers care about
- Acting as a domain expert to help CoLab better understand the real-world context behind the data.
Requirements
- 3-6 years in mechanical engineering with recent hands-on experience in the design lifecycle
- Deep understanding design review workflows within engineering organizations
- Experience working with or for a design firm or engineering consultancy
- Ability to interpret and clearly explain model outputs from a mechanical design perspective, applying commonly used standards and guidelines such as ASME, ASTM, and related industry standards.
- Strong analytical skills and comfort working with large volumes of data
- Direct experience bringing component, parts and assemblies to production, working through multiple DFM/DFA cycles
- Experience designing in a primary CAD tool alongside PDM/PLM
- Familiarity with prompt engineering or LLM workflows (Nice-to-Haves)
- Experience with applied ML/AI tools in a product or research context (Nice-to-Haves)
- Exposure to design automation or digital engineering systems (Nice-to-Haves)
