About the role

Build tools and products that enhance data science productivity and enable self-serve analytics for blockchain data
Build and maintain foundational data layer (data marts) serving as single source of truth
Design data models to support data scientists using blockchain data
Build tooling and pipelines to ingest blockchain data from APIs, files, and databases into clean, useful formats
Build data quality measurement and enforcement mechanisms to ensure reliability and completeness
Apply blockchain knowledge to write heuristics and models that interpret on-chain activity
Collaborate cross-functionally with Data Science, Data Platform, Machine Learning, and analytics teams to align priorities and deliverables
Deliver tailored data products to empower stakeholders with self-serve analytics
Design, implement, and optimize reliable data pipelines and developer tools to automate data science processes

Blockchain data experience: knowledge of blocks, transactions, token transfers, contract calls, account and UTXO models, labeling; familiarity with Dune and Arkham a plus
Adept at coding in Python; Go is a plus; major experience with modern programming languages
Expert SQL experience for querying, transformation, and performance optimization
Experience with other DBs such as graph databases and key-value stores is a plus
Experience with data compute frameworks (Spark, Flink, Beam) is a plus
Experience designing, building, and optimizing ETL/ELT data pipelines; batch and streaming experience is a plus
Experience building, deploying, and optimizing DAGs in Apache Airflow or similar
Experience with data visualization tools (Superset, Hex, Looker) or Python visualization libraries (Matplotlib, Seaborn, Plotly)
Understanding of data modeling best practices (star schemas, snowflake schemas, normalization); modeling for blockchain or financial data is a plus
Ability to collaborate with data scientists, analysts, and stakeholders; strong documentation skills for pipeline design and data flow diagrams
Fundamental DevOps practices: unit testing, CI/CD, git, Docker, Kubernetes
