About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Act as a trusted technical advisor to customers and partners
  • Uncover and develop new customer opportunities by articulating the value of Cohesity solutions
  • Lead technical sales engagements for customers, from discovery to solution validation
  • Design and deliver compelling product demonstrations, workshops, and presentations
  • Create excellent technical solution proposals based on technical discovery, industry and domain expertise
  • Identify and proactively address technical risks to ensure successful outcomes and customer satisfaction
  • Drive and execute proof of concepts (PoCs)
  • Assure strong pre-sales planning to enable customers to successfully integrate or extend Cohesity
  • Build strong relationships with stakeholders and act as a trusted advisor throughout the sales lifecycle
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Sales, Product Management, and Customer Success teams to align on customer needs

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Proven experience in Sales Engineering, Pre-Sales Solutions Architecture, or Technical Pre-Sales
  • Strong background in enterprise IT environments (e.g., data protection, cloud, databases, or infrastructure)
  • Ability to translate technical concepts into business value for diverse audiences
  • Experience leading complex, multi-stakeholder customer engagements
  • Strong understanding of competitive positioning and solution differentiation
  • Deep understanding of data protection, cyber resilience, or modern data platforms
  • Experience working in hybrid and cloud environments
  • Industry certifications (cloud, database, or related technologies) are a plus
  • Contributions to technical content such as white papers, demos, or training materials
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
