About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Act as a trusted technical advisor to customers and partners
- Uncover and develop new customer opportunities by articulating the value of Cohesity solutions
- Lead technical sales engagements for customers, from discovery to solution validation
- Design and deliver compelling product demonstrations, workshops, and presentations
- Create excellent technical solution proposals based on technical discovery, industry and domain expertise
- Identify and proactively address technical risks to ensure successful outcomes and customer satisfaction
- Drive and execute proof of concepts (PoCs)
- Assure strong pre-sales planning to enable customers to successfully integrate or extend Cohesity
- Build strong relationships with stakeholders and act as a trusted advisor throughout the sales lifecycle
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Sales, Product Management, and Customer Success teams to align on customer needs
Requirements
What you’ll need- Proven experience in Sales Engineering, Pre-Sales Solutions Architecture, or Technical Pre-Sales
- Strong background in enterprise IT environments (e.g., data protection, cloud, databases, or infrastructure)
- Ability to translate technical concepts into business value for diverse audiences
- Experience leading complex, multi-stakeholder customer engagements
- Strong understanding of competitive positioning and solution differentiation
- Deep understanding of data protection, cyber resilience, or modern data platforms
- Experience working in hybrid and cloud environments
- Industry certifications (cloud, database, or related technologies) are a plus
- Contributions to technical content such as white papers, demos, or training materials
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
