About the role
- Interaction with design/product teams to plan and execute MOCVD growths aimed at realizing next generation and newly conceived epitaxial designs and structures.
- Develop and execute DOE’s to define and optimize MOCVD process windows. Areas of improvement include capability, yield, throughput, and/or costs.
- Work with Equipment Engineers to help identify and design reactor hardware modifications or MOCVD process changes as needed in support of new process development.
- Presentation of development results and assigned manufacturing-based metrics to senior management, to internal interdisciplinary based teams, and to external customers.
- Apply engineering and manufacturing principles to transition epi designs from development to pilot production. Support parametric analysis as needed for yield/performance issues.
Requirements
- Masters degree or higher in engineering, physics, or chemistry, and 5+ years of related experience.
- Experience with Quality Management System
- Solid State Device Physics background in Optoelectronic devices required
- 5-10 years of epitaxial growth in a production environment preferred
- Experience under ISO 9001 or similar Quality Management System
- Experience with SPC, Six Sigma and Lean manufacturing
- Experience with statistical software packages
- Proficient with MS Office Software
- Knowledge of SQL preferred
- Excellent communication skills required.
