About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Lead audit engagements for real estate and construction companies
  • Prepare and review annual audit reports
  • Act as a direct liaison with managers, audit staff, and other related parties
  • Conduct audits and assist clients through the financial reporting process
  • Develop an understanding of each client’s business and industry
  • Anticipate client needs and provide effective guidance
  • Serve as a point of contact for clients throughout the engagement
  • Provide a high level of client service
  • Train and support audit staff accountants throughout the engagement

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Business required
  • 2–5 years of progressive audit experience with a public accounting firm
  • CPA license, or actively working towards CPA designation, required
  • Experience with commercial and residential real estate
  • Experience with construction contractors and developers
  • Exposure to real estate-related private funds
  • Excellent project management, teamwork, and interpersonal skills
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work independently with little supervision and within a team environment
  • Excellent client service skills
  • Aptitude to understand clients’ businesses and maintain strong client relationships
