About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Lead audit engagements for real estate and construction companies
Prepare and review annual audit reports
Act as a direct liaison with managers, audit staff, and other related parties
Conduct audits and assist clients through the financial reporting process
Develop an understanding of each client’s business and industry
Anticipate client needs and provide effective guidance
Serve as a point of contact for clients throughout the engagement
Provide a high level of client service
Train and support audit staff accountants throughout the engagement

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Business required
2–5 years of progressive audit experience with a public accounting firm
CPA license, or actively working towards CPA designation, required
Experience with commercial and residential real estate
Experience with construction contractors and developers
Exposure to real estate-related private funds
Excellent project management, teamwork, and interpersonal skills
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Ability to work independently with little supervision and within a team environment
Excellent client service skills
Aptitude to understand clients’ businesses and maintain strong client relationships
