About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Plan, supervise, and complete multiple audit engagements simultaneously
- Monitor project budgets, manage workflow, and ensure timely and efficient execution under tight deadlines
- Review workpapers and financial statements for accuracy, compliance, and adherence to professional standards
- Understand clients' operations, industry dynamics, and business objectives
- Engage with clients about emerging needs, concerns, and strategic priorities
- Identify opportunities to introduce additional services or innovative solutions
- Lead, mentor, and develop audit Seniors and Staff
- Delegate responsibilities while maintaining accountability for engagement quality and deadlines
- Provide coaching and real-time feedback to support technical development and career progression
- Improve audit processes and enhance engagement efficiency
- Support Partners in expanding relationships within existing client accounts
- Contribute to innovation, quality, and continuous improvement initiatives
Requirements
What you’ll need- 4–6+ years of progressive audit experience in public accounting
- Currently performing at the Manager level
- CPA license required
- Experience leading audit engagements in private company industries, including manufacturing, automotive, distribution, real estate and construction, healthcare, or professional services
- Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and auditing standards
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet restrictive deadlines
- Exceptional communication, leadership, and client service skills
- Ability to build strong internal and external relationships
- Preferred: experience in a national or Big 4 public accounting firm
- Preferred: exposure to multiple private company industries beyond a single core specialty
- Preferred: experience mentoring and developing Staff and Senior-level professionals
