About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Partner with business stakeholders and the internal Engineering team to gather, analyze, and document business and functional requirements
- Facilitate requirements gathering sessions and translate business needs into clear user stories and acceptance criteria
- Assist in creating release notes and maintaining project and implementation documentation, requirements artifacts, process flows, and user guides to ensure traceability throughout the project lifecycle
- Participate in Agile ceremonies including daily standups, sprint planning, backlog refinement, sprint reviews, and retrospectives
- Support the Product Manager/Product Owner in managing the product backlog and help ensure delivered functionality meets documented business requirements
- Identify process improvements and recommend solutions aligned with modernization objectives
- Complete new hire orientation training and meet with external counterparts and stakeholders across the organization
- Identify and meet with key federal partners, leads, and internal cross-functional peers to understand pain points and expectations
- Become familiar with recurring processes, workflows, and stakeholder/business requirements
- Take ownership of documentation, process guides, and user guides
- Identify learning and development opportunities and establish a professional development plan
- Operate as a fully integrated team member with responsibility and accountability for role functions
Requirements
What you’ll need- Full-time resident of the contiguous United States
- Must be legally authorized to work in the US now and in the future without sponsorship
- Ability to pass a Public Trust background check and applicable project-related background or security checks
- Minimum 1 year of relevant experience in a Business, Product, or Systems Analyst role
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Information Systems, or Computer Science, or equivalent professional experience
- Experience defining data and business process requirements and breaking down complex problems into actionable, testable steps
- Understanding of Agile software development lifecycle principles, theories, and concepts
- Clear and concise written and verbal communication, including use of assistive technology as needed
- Strong technical writing skills
- Excellent time management and organizational skills
- Ability to adapt effectively to changing timelines and requirements
- Prior professional services or federal government contracting experience preferred
- Experience using JIRA or other project management tracking tools preferred
- Experience in data analytics is a plus
