About the role

  • Actively shaping the modern Azure environment together with a small team
  • Operating and optimizing the infrastructure; responsible for AKS clusters, Application Gateways, and VMs
  • Analyzing incidents at 2nd/3rd level
  • Close collaboration with international teams
  • Documenting architectures and processes
  • Optimizing the performance of our systems
  • Responsible for reliable backup and recovery concepts

Requirements

  • Degree in IT or equivalent qualification
  • Strong Azure expertise — especially in AKS, VM management, networking, Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD) and Azure SQL
  • Experience in Identity & Access Management (Azure AD, MFA, Conditional Access)
  • Solid understanding of TCP/IP, VPN and firewall technologies
  • Knowledge of Kubernetes, Docker and cloud-native technologies
  • Proficient with automation tools such as Terraform, Bicep or Ansible and CI/CD pipelines
  • Basic IT security and compliance knowledge (ISO 27001, GDPR)
  • Certifications such as Azure Administrator, M365 Enterprise Administrator or CKA are a plus
  • Ideally some initial experience in team leadership
  • Structured and analytical working style
  • Very good German and good English skills, both written and spoken
