About the role
- Monitor and manage production Data & Analytics solutions to ensure performance and reliability
- Troubleshoot and resolve incidents and technical issues across Azure-based data platforms
- Develop and deploy enhancements and optimisations to existing solutions
- Build and configure automation tools to streamline operations and reduce manual effort
- Work directly with end-users and customers, providing expert support and guidance
- Invest in ongoing development through formal training, in-house sessions, mentoring, and Microsoft certification support
Requirements
- Experience working in a Managed Services team, supporting Azure-based production Data & Analytics ETL/integration solutions (e.g., Synapse, Databricks, Data Factory, Fabric, Function Apps, Power BI) in line with SLAs
- Strong hands-on skills in Python and SQL
- Proven ability to identify, investigate, and resolve complex technical issues
- Experience with ticket management and communicating directly with customers/end-users via phone, tickets, and email
- Familiarity with ITIL practices and service management frameworks (advantageous)
- Experience enhancing data pipelines, notebooks, and Power BI reports/models (advantageous)
- Knowledge of PySpark, Scala Spark SQL, .NET (C#), SSAS, and SSIS (advantageous)
- Exposure to Azure infrastructure (e.g., VMs, VNETs, security configurations) (advantageous)
- Microsoft certifications such as DP-203 or DP-600 (advantageous)
