About the role

  • Assist with department questions related to payroll and resolve issues
  • Ensure payroll practices meet UNITED and government compliance
  • Provides training as outlined by the Corp Manager- Payroll
  • Process payroll utilizing detailed checklist
  • Responsible for partnering with Specialist- Payroll with garnishment processes to ensure steps are being followed and report any garnishment issues to the Corp Manager- Payroll
  • Enter wage types utilizing specific guidelines
  • Perform weekly payroll audits and report any issues to Corp Manager- Payroll
  • Coordinating and processing various payroll transactions
  • Prioritize tasks to meet deadlines
  • Researching payroll errors/discrepancies
  • Responsible for communication with Human Resources and UNITED managers regarding payroll processes or issues
  • Process payroll reports
  • Performs appropriate duties as assigned by management

Requirements

  • Minimum age 18 years old
  • Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as required by position and compliance with UNITED safety policies
  • Regular and prompt attendance is an essential function of the job
  • Ability to read, write and speak English
  • Ability to maintain a neat professional appearance within Company guidelines
  • Ability to maintain safety and security of Company assets
  • Ability to utilize all Company provided resources and technology
  • Ability to demonstrate independence and analytical skills required
  • Effective communication skills required
  • Associate degree (A. A.) or equivalent from two-year College or technical school; or 2 to 4 years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • 2-4 years of payroll experience required
  • Knowledge of garnishment experience preferred
  • Knowledge of SAP preferred
  • Microsoft Office Suite experience required
  • Excel experience required
  • Ability to demonstrate problem solving, planning, organization, customer service, dependability, initiative, teamwork, communication, and adaptability skills
