About the role
- Provides leadership for the plant’s production organization
- Manages and develops the Production supervisors and hourly team members
- Adheres to safety, quality, financial, and production standards
- Develops business and financial plans in alignment with goals
- Translates plans into operational objectives for the Production organization
- Motivates, directs, coach and develop a high performing team
- Executes high standards for safety and quality
- Develops budgets and manages line and labor efficiencies
- Responds to company and customer needs
- Ensures compliance to specifications and regulatory policies
- Drives Continuous Improvement (CI) culture
- Monitors QI daily and provides recommendations
- Conducts scheduled meetings
- Develops workforce through supervision, coaching, and training
- Reviews and approves departmental scheduling issues
- Collaborates with other departments
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED required
- Bachelor’s degree in Business or Engineering or equivalent work experience preferred
- 5-10 years production/manufacturing experience
- Strong technical skills required
- Experience managing multiple shift operations
- Experience with budgets and financial reporting
- Experience with ISO 9001, 14001, 18001, and 2200 preferred
- Operational Excellence, Green Belt or Black Belt experience preferred
- Experience with TPM culture preferred
- Must be proficient in all MS Software and database applications
- Familiarity with manufacturing systems and theory of operation
