About the role
- Overseeing the daily sales plans of On-Premise Sales associates assigned to a geographical area and/or a specific channel of focus
- Training and developing sales associates
- Negotiating contracts
- Developing effective sales strategies per their customer base
- Ensuring Key Business Indicators for assigned territory are met
- Carrying out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with UNITED policies and applicable laws
- Interviewing, hiring, and training associates
- Planning, assigning, and directing work
- Appraising performance
- Addressing complaints and resolving problems
- Building positive associate morale
- Managing weekly/monthly performance and priority trackers
- Conducting annual performance reviews and associates’ evaluations
- Building valuable external relationships with existing and new customers
- Developing and maintaining winning internal customer relationships to support Sales Center and Divisional success
- Managing key account customer needs and conducting monthly/annual business reviews
- Managing Sponsorships
- Assigning sale goals and strategic plans for the On-Premise sales team
- Preparing periodic sales reporting and planning reports to support Sales Center goals
- Developing strategic plans around channel specific priorities
- Managing On-Premise Pricing for the Sales Center
- Utilizing company driven tools to survey in-outlet execution and priorities
- Managing sales teams ordering, selling technologies, and creating selling tools to support
- Managing execution in National Retail Sales accounts in assigned area
- Approving and managing equipment placements and budgets
- Developing and managing trackers to support market execution
- Creating customer presentations, economic analysis, and drafting contractual agreements
- Managing marketing, free product, and sponsorship budgets
- Collaborating in Full-Service Commissions and vend rates
- Actively participating in Annual Planning and Annual Budget
- Managing On-Premise Point of Sale, Capital Budget (Scoreboards) for the Sales Center
- Negotiating contracts with Key Accounts
- Engaging local community leaders, joining local Community Organizations or Public Boards
- Supporting the sales team within their communities to establish value driven relationships
- Performing appropriate duties as assigned by management
Requirements
- Minimum age 18 years old
- Valid driver’s license required and obligation to maintain compliance with UNITED fleet policy
- Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as required by position and compliance with UNITED safety policies
- Regular and prompt attendance is an essential function of the job
- Ability to read, write and speak English
- Ability to maintain a neat professional appearance within Company guidelines
- Ability to maintain safety and security of Company assets
- Ability to utilize all Company provided resources and technology
- Strong leadership and organizational skills
- Proven ability to coach and manage needs and concerns of multiple associates
- Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year College or university; or 5 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common scientific and technical journals, financial reports, and legal documents
- Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community
- Ability to write speeches and articles for publication that conform to prescribed style and format
- Ability to effectively present information to top management, public groups, and/or boards of directors
- Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry
- Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists
- Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form
- Ability to quickly learn internal UNITED systems, SAP, and Margin Minder and Microsoft Office Applications (Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Word)
