About the role

  • The Business Intelligence Systems Analyst plays a pivotal role in driving data-driven decision-making across the organization
  • Serves as the link between business needs and technical solutions by gathering requirements, shaping BI strategies, and ensuring the delivery of accurate, actionable insights
  • Partners with stakeholders and BI teams to design and implement BI solutions—including dashboards, reports, and data models—that align with organizational objectives and enhance business performance
  • Manage BI Projects by leading and coordinating BI-related projects from initiation to completion, ensuring timely delivery, resource alignment, and adherence to business objectives
  • Requirements Gathering & Analysis by partnering with business stakeholders to define reporting needs, identify gaps, and translate objectives into actionable BI requirements
  • Create clear, detailed specifications for BI solutions, ensuring seamless collaboration between business and technical teams
  • Work closely with BI Developers and IT teams to validate dashboards, reports, and data models against business expectations
  • Support governance initiatives by ensuring data accuracy, consistency, and compliance with security standards
  • Identify opportunities to enhance BI tools, workflows, and analytics capabilities to improve efficiency and decision-making
  • Serve as a liaison between business and technical teams, providing training and support to maximize BI adoption
  • Provide ongoing support and troubleshooting for BI platforms and tools, including Snowflake, Tableau, and Margin Miner, ensuring optimal performance and user experience

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Information Systems, Data Analytics, or related field
  • 3+ years of experience in business analysis, BI, or data analytics
  • Proficiency in BI tools (Power BI, Tableau, Looker) and SQL
  • Familiarity with data modeling, ETL processes, and governance principles
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
  • Advanced Microsoft Office skills (Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
  • Experience with cloud BI platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) preferred
  • Experience with BI governance tools such as Alation, Collibra, Atlan preferred
  • Knowledge of Python or R for data analysis preferred
  • Relevant certifications (CBAP, Power BI, Tableau) preferred
