About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Work collaboratively with internal stakeholders to support the development of procurement specifications
Support the full cycle procurement process inclusive of contract administration and vendor management
Assist with the preparation of the organization’s annual operating and capital budgets
Develop, maintain and improve upon vendor management framework
Assist in the development and implementation of budget specific policies and procedures
Prepare financial variance analysis and investigate anomalies
Support the system administrator in maintaining finance related software
Assist with quality financial analysis in support of business cases

Requirements

What you’ll need

Completion of a college diploma or university degree in a related discipline such as business or finance
Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation preferred
Minimum of five (5) years of progressive experience in finance (financial reporting and analysis)
Proven experience in contract management, strategic sourcing, and vendor governance
Experience with process improvement methodologies
Demonstrated category management experience in technology, including oversight of critical and complex vendor relationships
Previous experience preparing complex annual operating budgets and forecasts is an asset
Strong understanding of systems processes
Strong problem solving skills
Advanced knowledge of financial system software (Acumatica an asset)
Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, Microsoft Office.
