About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Work collaboratively with internal stakeholders to support the development of procurement specifications
  • Support the full cycle procurement process inclusive of contract administration and vendor management
  • Assist with the preparation of the organization’s annual operating and capital budgets
  • Develop, maintain and improve upon vendor management framework
  • Assist in the development and implementation of budget specific policies and procedures
  • Prepare financial variance analysis and investigate anomalies
  • Support the system administrator in maintaining finance related software
  • Assist with quality financial analysis in support of business cases

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Completion of a college diploma or university degree in a related discipline such as business or finance
  • Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation preferred
  • Minimum of five (5) years of progressive experience in finance (financial reporting and analysis)
  • Proven experience in contract management, strategic sourcing, and vendor governance
  • Experience with process improvement methodologies
  • Demonstrated category management experience in technology, including oversight of critical and complex vendor relationships
  • Previous experience preparing complex annual operating budgets and forecasts is an asset
  • Strong understanding of systems processes
  • Strong problem solving skills
  • Advanced knowledge of financial system software (Acumatica an asset)
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, Microsoft Office.
