About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Performs various simple manual tasks
  • Sets up glasses, silverware, butter, condiments, salads, desserts, bread, and cold beverages on serving counter as instructed
  • Cleans tables of paper, other trash, or soiled linens
  • Scrapes and pre-rinses dishes with water
  • Loads dishes in dishwasher; stacks and stores dishes
  • Cleans cooking and service equipment
  • Sweeps, mops, waxes floors
  • Follows safety regulations and standards
  • Reports any observed workplace hazards

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • No previous work experience required
  • Must have the ability to read and understand written material and follow instructions
  • Must be able to use hand tools for cleaning and operating simple machines
  • Must be able to obtain a Food Handler's Certificate and/or complete food handler's training
  • Must be physically able to frequently lift objects weighing up to 40 pounds
  • Must be able to continuously stand, walk, stoop, reach, push, pull and bend for long periods of time
  • Six months experience in a food service facility (preferred)
