About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Performs various simple manual tasks
- Sets up glasses, silverware, butter, condiments, salads, desserts, bread, and cold beverages on serving counter as instructed
- Cleans tables of paper, other trash, or soiled linens
- Scrapes and pre-rinses dishes with water
- Loads dishes in dishwasher; stacks and stores dishes
- Cleans cooking and service equipment
- Sweeps, mops, waxes floors
- Follows safety regulations and standards
- Reports any observed workplace hazards
Requirements
What you’ll need- No previous work experience required
- Must have the ability to read and understand written material and follow instructions
- Must be able to use hand tools for cleaning and operating simple machines
- Must be able to obtain a Food Handler's Certificate and/or complete food handler's training
- Must be physically able to frequently lift objects weighing up to 40 pounds
- Must be able to continuously stand, walk, stoop, reach, push, pull and bend for long periods of time
- Six months experience in a food service facility (preferred)
