About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Welcome customers and help with selection of merchandise
  • React quickly to customer concerns
  • Sell merchandise and provide outstanding customer service
  • Take periodic stock counts and participate in inventories
  • Replenish stock and maintain merchandise condition
  • Advise supervisor of customer requests
  • Receive payments and give change accurately
  • Maintain record of sales and balance cash register

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Potential to stock merchandise, assist patrons and operate a cash register
  • Ability to read, comprehend and explain product literature
  • Ability to count, subtract, multiply, and divide for stocking and inventory purposes
  • Minimum of a high school diploma or GED
  • Ability to routinely lift 10 pounds and occasionally lift 25 pounds
  • Ability to stand for long periods of time
  • Previous retail merchandising or cashier experience (preferred)
