About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Reporting to the Recreation and Lodging Manager, this position directs all daily Lodging and Reservations operations including but not limited to managing the RV Storage lots.
- Responsible for overall management and day-to-day operations of Guest Lodging.
- Assigns work based on priorities, difficulty and requirements of assignments, and staff capabilities.
- Ensures staff receive proper training to fulfill the requirements of their positions.
- Supervises and coordinates the activities of assigned NAF segments such as housekeeping/custodial workers, maintenance workers, and desk clerks.
- Coordinates activities by scheduling work assignments, setting priorities, and directing the work of subordinate employees.
- Completes evaluations, performs counseling, instructs subordinates on work and administrative matters, resolves complaints and grievances, and proactively takes steps to improve the quality of work performed.
- Maintains good customer and employee relations, resolves issues regarding lodging services, amenities and policies.
- Manages the ordering, storage, and distribution of all supplies, furniture, and equipment related to Guest Lodging and Reservations.
- Works flexible hours including weekends and occasional evenings.
- Establishes standards for cleanliness and productivity and ensures compliance.
- Conducts daily room inspections for compliance with established standards and confers with staff to resolve production and personnel issues.
- Assists with any and all MWR sponsored or related events including supervising, transporting equipment, setup and teardown and cleanup of tables, chairs, trashcans, signs, and other equipment as needed.
- Assists with operations of events; distributing and collecting tickets, equipment, prizes, and other MWR items as needed.
Requirements
What you’ll need- High school diploma or GED.
- Experience in customer service, with working knowledge of retail sales and cashiering and inventory control.
- Knowledge of basic accounting and cash handling and general office practices.
- Experience with Microsoft Programs Word, Excel and Outlook.
- Supervisory or leader experience.
- Ability to routinely lift 10 pounds and occasionally lift 35 pounds and stand for long periods.
- Experience with Wix, Ecwid and Payeezy or similar website development and/or ecommerce software (preferred).
- Experience with installing cable and internet and performing troubleshooting in a variety of settings (preferred).
- Experience handling ticket sales both in person and online (preferred).
