Senior Payroll Associate

About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Process bi-weekly payroll for local Co-op clients, ensuring accurate remittances and adherence to deadlines.
- Provide timely customer support to address client inquiries related to pay.
- Assist with year-end duties, including preparing T4s, vacation payouts, and related reports.
- Review payroll correspondence and update employee files, including special payments like bonuses and severance.
- Manage Workers Compensation reports, third-party error notifications, and maintain security of payroll records.
Requirements
What you’ll need- Have 4 progressive financial accounting courses from an accredited post-secondary institution and 1 year of related accounting or payroll experience.
- Have 8 progressive financial accounting courses from an accredited post-secondary institution and 2.5 years of related accounting or payroll experience.
- Preference will be given to candidates with experience related to the applicable functional area.
