About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Create effective learning solutions using project management and instructional design skills
  • Work across departments and with training team members to create learning blueprints and content aligned with performance and organizational objectives
  • Analyze learning and performance needs
  • Develop learning content to support identified needs
  • Recommend learning designs and establish measurable methods to determine learning impact and effectiveness
  • Apply instructional design principles to blended learning, social media, mobile technologies, and other educational formats
  • Design innovative learning approaches using modalities such as microlearning, e-modules, collaborative learning, action learning projects, and peer coaching
  • Ensure learning and performance objectives are appropriate for the audience and training materials meet those objectives
  • Analyze organizational, group, and individual performance needs to develop content for Enterprise Operations
  • Gather feedback and identify trends showing whether learning content addresses root causes and immediate needs
  • Maintain and periodically review library content for relevance, accuracy, and quality; initiate corrective actions as needed
  • Review and test new and revised curriculum offerings and provide improvement feedback
  • Contribute to new curriculum and program ideas
  • Stay current on learning and performance trends, Enterprise Operations trends, and insurance industry trends

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent to 8 years of work-related experience in Instructional design and adult learning required
  • Master’s degree preferred
  • 4 years of instructional design experience required
  • Experience in the financial services industry is a plus
  • Master’s degree in Instructional design or adult learning or equivalent 12 years of related work experience preferred
  • Strong ability to apply training theories and principles, including applied behavioral science, adult learning theory, and/or established industry models of evaluation
  • Ability to translate complex concepts and ideas into simple, easy-to-understand formats and flows
  • Ability to write course objectives and create effective assessment questions and learning activities
  • Experience developing engaging interactions using adult learning and instructional design (ADDIE, SAAM) best practices
  • Experience developing storyboards
  • Experience with authoring software such as Articulate Storyline or Camtasia
  • Strong project management skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to work productively on multiple projects while meeting tight deadlines in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to engage and develop collaborative, productive relationships with teams and key stakeholders
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills
  • Ability to work Central or Eastern Time hours
  • All work must be performed within the United States
  • This position is not eligible for visa sponsorship
