About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Serve and educate customers on the product portfolio and present suitable product and service options
  • Escalate unresolved issues to the Store Manager, District Director of Operations, and corporate office
  • Answer telephone inquiries regarding general questions, applications, requests, and other issues
  • Perform outbound customer sales, courtesy, and collection calls in accordance with regulations and procedures
  • Respond professionally and accurately to customers and explain possible solutions
  • Interact with customers using active listening to clarify information and diffuse complaints
  • Handle and count currency, cash, and coins, including managing cash drawers and deposits
  • Perform bank deposits or bank pickups as needed
  • Balance batch receipts with store sales reports and help resolve over/short discrepancies
  • Perform customer verifications
  • Process transactions accurately, including loans, check cashing, and NetSpend
  • Comply with federal and state regulations and company policies and procedures
  • Complete compliance training and quarterly I Agree requirements on time
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • High school diploma, GED, or equivalent experience
  • 1+ year of experience with sales, customer service, and/or cash handling preferred
  • Strong customer service, active listening, and verbal and written communication skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office programs
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize, and work in an autonomous environment
  • Own personal reliable transportation; public transportation and transportation from family or friends may not qualify
  • Valid Driver’s License and valid Automobile Insurance while employed
  • Ability to consistently live and embrace the company’s core values
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, with or without reasonable accommodations
  • Ability to travel to all stores within the assigned district with a personal vehicle
  • May be asked to travel to neighboring districts
  • May require overnight travel
  • Must work assigned shifts as scheduled
