About the role

  • Act as Subject Matter Expert for product lines including annuities, mutual funds, 529s, alternative investments, structured products, and donor advised funds.
  • Consult with advisors to deliver product guidance specific to client scenarios.
  • Assist advisors with strategic sales ideas, prospecting techniques, and competitive product positioning.
  • Provide unbiased product guidance and recommend best-in-class solutions and Partner Firm resources.
  • Support advisor education on key investment challenges (e.g., secure income needs, college planning).
  • Provide education through inbound/outbound phone activity, one-on-one consultations, webinars, presentations, and institution training opportunities.
  • Track phone metrics, emails, and consultations to measure activity and question types.
  • Provide leads to Wealth Management Consulting, Growth Officers, and Financial Planning teams when appropriate.
  • Provide industry trend insights and support marketing and educational campaigns.
  • Interface with partner firms and advocate for the resources, tools, services, and support provided to financial professionals.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required.
  • 5+ years of Sales experience in the financial services industry.
  • FINRA Series 7 securities registration required.
  • Life, Accident & Health licenses and Series 65 or 66 a plus.
  • State Insurance License highly preferred.
  • Presentation, public-speaking, and training skills to conduct group training programs.
  • Phenomenal communication, presentation, public-speaking and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong customer service, problem-solving, and communication skills; adaptable to different personality types.
  • Must be flexible, detail-oriented, self-directed, with strength in multitasking and prioritization.
  • Work well independently and collaboratively; desire to be part of a cohesive team.
  • Willingness to learn and self-teach.
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Industry credentials a plus (CFP, CLU, ChFC, CIMA, CAIA).
  • Strong aptitude for technology and ability to solve complex problems.
  • Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously and synthesize ideas into cohesive stories.
  • Convey technical information to users in non-technical, clear terms.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, sometimes stressful, and constantly evolving environment.
  • Attention to detail and time-management skills.
  • A deep functional understanding of investment and protection products.
  • Candidates must be located in either: El Segundo, CA; Dallas, TX; Des Moines, IA; or St Cloud, MN.
