About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Supports one to two Agile Scrum teams on initiatives of medium to large complexity
Owns, defines, and prioritizes the team backlog, establishes story acceptance criteria
Drives content via prioritized user stories, obtains customer validation
A thought leader in Scrum ceremonies alongside the Scrum Master
Fosters an environment of continuous improvement / learning
Build customer and user insights into all stages of the Scrum planning and execution process
Proactively analyzes metrics, and recommends changes to the product based on data from feedback loops
Inspires and motivates a team where the members constructively challenge each other
May collaborate with Product Managers and other Senior Product Owners

Requirements

What you’ll need

Minimum of five years’ experience as a Product Owner or similar role, with three years’ experience within the Commercial or Personal insurance industry
Knowledge of policy administration systems and policy lifecycle processes
Proven experience in rating and issuance of policies preferred
Multiline Property & Casualty (P&C) experience preferred, with strong knowledge of National Accounts Property and Middle Market Property underwriting.
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience
Applicable certifications preferred (e.g. SAFe PO/PM, CSPO or PSPO)
