About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Develop sales strategies to attract new prospective buyers and solicit new clients
  • Build relationships with career centers, technical colleges, and vocational training programs to identify procurement cycles and key decision-makers
  • Initiate first contact with potential customers via cold calling or other prospecting methods
  • Build relationships with prospects to identify potential needs, qualify interest, and assess potential to generate sales
  • Work closely with other teams to develop account intelligence, relationship maps, and usage opportunities through direct engagement with prospects and analytics tools
  • Track funding windows, grant cycles, and training-related budget timelines to plan outreach and proposals at the most opportune times
  • Identify and engage stakeholders within educational institutions to align simulator use cases with learning objectives
  • Present product information to prospects once needs have been identified
  • Act as the first point of contact for all inbound inquiries
  • Advance qualified opportunities through the sales funnel by arranging in-person demonstrations and answering questions
  • Conduct regular follow-ups by phone or email
  • Collaborate with sales and marketing teams to ensure company goals and targets are met
  • Manage new customer and prospect data, ensuring all communications are documented and information remains accurate.

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or a related field; a technical background is an asset
  • Minimum of one year of experience in a similar role
  • Experience in a technology- or software-related sales environment is an asset
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills
  • Willingness to continuously learn about the products and sales techniques
  • High resilience and determination
  • Excellent interpersonal and relationship-building skills, with a dynamic personality
  • Comfortable presenting to non-technical stakeholders and leading discovery meetings with prospects
  • Positive and professional attitude
  • Experience with Salesforce and HubSpot CRM is an asset
  • Experience collaborating with marketing teams to develop programs is an asset.
