About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Develop sales strategies to attract new prospective buyers and solicit new clients
- Build relationships with career centers, technical colleges, and vocational training programs to identify procurement cycles and key decision-makers
- Initiate first contact with potential customers via cold calling or other prospecting methods
- Build relationships with prospects to identify potential needs, qualify interest, and assess potential to generate sales
- Work closely with other teams to develop account intelligence, relationship maps, and usage opportunities through direct engagement with prospects and analytics tools
- Track funding windows, grant cycles, and training-related budget timelines to plan outreach and proposals at the most opportune times
- Identify and engage stakeholders within educational institutions to align simulator use cases with learning objectives
- Present product information to prospects once needs have been identified
- Act as the first point of contact for all inbound inquiries
- Advance qualified opportunities through the sales funnel by arranging in-person demonstrations and answering questions
- Conduct regular follow-ups by phone or email
- Collaborate with sales and marketing teams to ensure company goals and targets are met
- Manage new customer and prospect data, ensuring all communications are documented and information remains accurate.
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or a related field; a technical background is an asset
- Minimum of one year of experience in a similar role
- Experience in a technology- or software-related sales environment is an asset
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills
- Willingness to continuously learn about the products and sales techniques
- High resilience and determination
- Excellent interpersonal and relationship-building skills, with a dynamic personality
- Comfortable presenting to non-technical stakeholders and leading discovery meetings with prospects
- Positive and professional attitude
- Experience with Salesforce and HubSpot CRM is an asset
- Experience collaborating with marketing teams to develop programs is an asset.
