About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Support development, maintenance, and enhancement of legacy Java applications
Utilize AI tools and assistants such as GitHub Copilot, Claude, and ChatGPT to accelerate debugging, refactoring, and feature development
Identify opportunities where AI can improve existing workflows, UI components, or backend logic within legacy systems
Collaborate with senior engineers to analyze, document, and resolve bugs and technical issues
Write clean, well-documented code and assist with testing and quality assurance
Participate in sprint ceremonies, code reviews, and knowledge-sharing sessions with the broader engineering team

Requirements

What you’ll need

Currently enrolled in an undergraduate program in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, Machine Learning, or a related field, and eligible for a co-op/internship placement
Preferred expertise in AI/Machine Learning, Java Development, and Python Programming
Clear communication, ownership, attention to detail, and ability to work across teams
Must be available full time Monday to Friday for 4, 8, or 12 months without interruption
