About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Support development, maintenance, and enhancement of legacy Java applications
  • Utilize AI tools and assistants such as GitHub Copilot, Claude, and ChatGPT to accelerate debugging, refactoring, and feature development
  • Identify opportunities where AI can improve existing workflows, UI components, or backend logic within legacy systems
  • Collaborate with senior engineers to analyze, document, and resolve bugs and technical issues
  • Write clean, well-documented code and assist with testing and quality assurance
  • Participate in sprint ceremonies, code reviews, and knowledge-sharing sessions with the broader engineering team

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Currently enrolled in an undergraduate program in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, Machine Learning, or a related field, and eligible for a co-op/internship placement
  • Preferred expertise in AI/Machine Learning, Java Development, and Python Programming
  • Clear communication, ownership, attention to detail, and ability to work across teams
  • Must be available full time Monday to Friday for 4, 8, or 12 months without interruption
