About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Administer, monitor, and optimise cloud resources across AWS, Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI), and Microsoft Azure.
Provision and manage cloud compute, storage, and identity services.
Implement and maintain cloud cost governance, tagging policies, and resource right-sizing.
Support cloud architecture decisions and assist with infrastructure-as-code (IaC) tooling such as Terraform or Ansible.
Monitor cloud environments using native tools (CloudWatch, Azure Monitor, OCI Monitoring) and third-party solutions.
Assist with cloud security controls, including IAM policies, security groups, and compliance reviews.
Plan, schedule, and execute patching cycles for Windows and Linux servers in line with change management processes.
Use patch management tools to maintain compliance.
Monitor patch compliance and produce reports for audit and management review.
Document patching outcomes, exceptions, and remediation steps.
Manage and support Linux servers (RHEL, CentOS, Ubuntu) and Windows Server environments.
Perform system configuration, tuning, and capacity planning across physical and virtual infrastructure.
Administer Entra in Windows environments.
Implement and manage backup and disaster recovery solutions.
Provide Level 2/3 technical support to end users, resolving hardware, software, and connectivity issues.
Escalate and manage issues through the ITSM ticketing system.
Support onboarding and offboarding processes, including account provisioning and device configuration.
Contribute to knowledge base documentation and self-service resources for end users.
Collaborate with the User Support team to improve first-contact resolution rates.

Requirements

What you’ll need

Hands-on experience with AWS (EC2, S3, VPC, IAM, RDS)
Working knowledge of Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI)
Microsoft Azure administration experience
Infrastructure-as-Code: Terraform, Ansible, or CloudFormation
Cloud networking: VPCs, peering, load balancers, DNS
Understanding of cloud security best practices and IAM
3+ years Linux administration (RHEL/CentOS/Ubuntu)
3+ years Windows Server administration
Experience with ITSM platforms
Strong scripting skills: Bash, PowerShell, or Python
Experience with patch management tooling (Azure Update Manager)
Familiarity with Entra, DNS, DHCP
AWS Certified SysOps Administrator, Solutions Architect, or equivalent cloud certification.
Microsoft Azure Administrator (AZ-104) or Oracle Cloud Infrastructure certifications.
Experience with containerisation technologies such as Docker or Kubernetes.
Familiarity with monitoring and observability tools (Dynatrace, PRTG).
ITIL Foundation certification or working knowledge of ITIL processes.
Experience in a hybrid cloud or multi-cloud enterprise environment.
