About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Assist and support the qualification of proprietary systems by successfully implementing bid strategies to close business
  • Act as a liaison between the Engineering Department and the client to maximize efficiency and effectiveness
  • Develop and execute a business development plan focused on transportation, private development, commercial projects and civil construction
  • Conduct business review meetings with customers and report customer information internally through call reports
  • Maintain prospect list and detailed quote log to track success rate
  • Make customer visits and attend conferences as needed to better understand industry needs and develop markets
  • Demonstrate all phases of the sales cycle, including prospecting, acquiring, identifying and qualifying customers

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Ability to travel regionally between 25% - 50% of the time
  • Minimum 2 years work experience in heavy civil, bridge, or concrete construction projects strongly preferred
  • Minimum 2 years sales experience preferred
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Highly motivated and a self-starter
  • Exceptional organizational, prioritizing, and time management skills
  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent relevant experience required
