About the role

  • Lead and manage mechanical engineering projects from conception to completion.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define project scope, budget, and schedule.
  • Design and coordinate detailed engineering for new construction and expansion projects.
  • Develop specifications, bid packages, construction schedules, etc. to insure completion of projects on time and within budget.
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards and safety regulations.
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation for each job.
  • Provide technical guidance and support to team members.
  • Communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Adapt to changing project requirements and priorities.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in project management within the manufacturing or industrial sector(5+ yrs).
  • Strong understanding of mechanical engineering principles and practices.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Flexibility to manage projects across various disciplines.
  • Self-motivated with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification preferred.
  • Experience in steel manufacturing.
  • Knowledge of other engineering disciplines (mechanical, civil, etc.).
