About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Support operational coordination and execution of all Military OTO and high-visibility shipments.
- Support internal process for OTO allocation, dispatch, and execution across APL stakeholders.
- Assist and maintain a comprehensive OTO tracker to monitor milestones, responsibilities, and operational risks.
- Coordinate cross-department execution between Trade, C-Flow, Operations, Customer Service, and Agency teams.
- Participate in weekly OTO coordination meetings to identify operational issues, assign responsibilities, and ensure resolution.
- Ensure APL shipments receive operational priority across the CMA CGM Group network.
- Assist in maintaining a centralized knowledge base covering military cargo specifications, unique ports, and operational constraints.
- Document operational challenges and lessons learned to improve pricing accuracy and execution reliability.
- Maintain reference directories for military logistics procedures, documentation requirements, and operational contacts.
- Execute standardized tracking and reporting processes to improve coordination across APL teams.
- Prepare data for Trade Director to perform lane analysis to identify strategic opportunities within the Top 100 military shipping lanes.
- Assist in billing as assigned across APL Trade and ACGL team.
Requirements
What you’ll need- 3-5 years Exp in container shipping, logistics, government cargo, or military transportation programs.
- 1-3 years Exp working with U.S. Military logistics programs (USTRANSCOM, MSC, USC-10)
- 3-5 years Exp coordinating complex cargo operations or government contract
- Working knowledge of "cross border" operations utilizing multiple service partners
- Working knowledge of US State Department, US Military logistics, Commercial Invoice Packings lists and Ocean Bills of Lading
- Working knowledge of tracking and tracing cargo in APL/CMA Systems
- Cost tracking and control
- Understanding container shipping operations and global trade networks.
- Strong cross-functional coordination skills across commercial, operational, and compliance teams.
- Strong analytical capabilities including pricing analysis and market lane evaluation.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to support structured tracking systems and operational processes.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
