About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Lead the day-to-day management of Accounts Receivable across CMA CGM Group carriers within Oceania.
  • Oversee freight, sundries, detention and demurrage transactions while ensuring effective credit control and timely collections across both cash and credit accounts.
  • Assess customer creditworthiness, manage credit limits and terms, and conduct regular credit reviews.
  • Monitor aged receivables and collection performance.
  • Prepare and analyse credit control and Accounts Receivable reports.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with customers and stakeholders.
  • Drive continuous improvement of credit control processes.
  • Lead, coach, and support the credit control team to achieve performance targets.

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 5–7 years’ experience in credit management, account management, customer service, or customer relationship management within a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong relationship-building and stakeholder management skills are essential.
  • Proven experience leading and developing teams.
  • Advanced Excel and reporting skills.
  • High attention to detail.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • A background or qualifications in Finance, Accounting, or Business, and/or previous experience within the shipping industry, would be advantageous but are NOT essential.
  • Eligibility Requirements: Applicants must hold Australian Citizenship or Permanent Residency.
