About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • You ensure the reliability of financial information and related analyses for the technical management of CMA CGM’s fleet vessels.
  • You play an important role in supporting the activity in areas such as actual cost assessment and budgeting, assisting the fleet team in cost monitoring.
  • Reporting directly to the Business Control Manager in France, you are responsible for monitoring the costs within your scope, which includes but is not limited to:
  • Taking part in the monthly closing process
  • Ensuring the accuracy of cost accounting
  • Analyzing monthly variances between actuals and budget/forecast
  • Analyzing the annual forecast
  • Conducting a monthly financial review with the fleet team
  • Preparing the monthly review summary for the Business Control Manager
  • Providing support in the preparation of the budget and forecasts
  • Participating in process and tool improvements

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Degree in management control and/or finance
  • At least 5 years of experience in management control
  • Strong knowledge of accounting, particularly in transaction closing
  • Good communication skills in English (spoken and written)
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
  • Knowledge of Power BI and Power Query is a plus
  • Strong analytical and organizational skills
  • Proactive, autonomous, and curious
