About the role
- Monitor network traffic and bandwidth utilization to isolate problematic data streams
- Install, configure, and maintain necessary hardware and software for network performance
- Responsible for installing, configuring, and maintaining the hardware and software for globally networked operations
- Identify and fix network outages, performance problems, or issues with networked applications
- Design and install wired and wireless Local Area Networks
- Travel to remote sites for new installs, upgrades, or disaster recovery
- Document network topology and IT documentation as required
- Order and track the installation of data circuits and Voice services
- Test network redundancy configurations and disaster recovery failover methods
- Research new technologies and participate in vendor demonstrations
Requirements
- Position requires a Bachelor's degree (US or Foreign Equivalent) in Management Information Systems, Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field
- Three (3) years of experience in IT Network Operations
- Three (3) years of experience with monitoring network traffic and bandwidth utilization
- Installing, configuring, and maintaining globally networked operations
- Identifying and fixing network outages, performance problems, or issues with networked applications
- Designing and installing wired and wireless Local Area Networks
- Documenting network topology, dial plans, IP addressing schemes, and security standards
- Ordering and tracking the installation of data circuits and Voice services
- Testing network redundancy configurations and disaster recovery failover methods
- Managing network projects and coordinating vendors as required
