About the role

  • Knowledge in Facilities, Construction, Energy and Waste categories (not limited to these areas of focus)
  • Strategic Procurement management (negotiation, cost comparison, cost reduction, lead-time, quality issues, customer service support to stakeholders)
  • Responsible for all day-to-day procurement activities
  • Reports on Company tools
  • Data analysis and risk management
  • Support Headquarter implementations to be implemented regionally
  • Gather insights from suppliers and stakeholders
  • Lead, develop and implement category strategy best practices, and initiatives that support strong improvements in supplier quality, total cost effectiveness, enhanced service levels, improved coordination, delivery, pricing, lead-times, payment, risk compliance and other areas as identified
  • Negotiate savings, VID and cost avoidance and report on the company tool monthly
  • Executes category sourcing strategies including development and execution of RFP’s, documents bid; develops selection criteria and drives the selection of suppliers in collaboration with a cross-functional teams; conducts supplier negotiations and ongoing supplier management
  • Aligned with the company and station needs, create major saving projects to optimize their budget spend, guaranteeing quality and spend reduction is delivered
  • Drives consolidation of spend and seeks out synergies across Business Units where applicable, reduce/minimize maverick buying by creating catalogs/strategies
  • Support and enable critical project resourcing initiatives for team
  • Have regular meetings and calls with stakeholders to understand their needs on station/sites/corporate and to address their needs to align it with the category strategy and projects
  • Execute complex analytical scenarios to highlight financial pros and cons of supplier proposals
  • Negotiate contracts in collaboration with Legal and stakeholders
  • Travel as needed for business (up to 10%), to visit sites and locations

Requirements

  • Min 8 years of management experience in procurement processes
  • Min 5 years of experience in strategic sourcing
  • Master’s degree (preferably in business administration, economics, finance, supply chain)
  • Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of management, both internal and external suppliers
  • Possess in depth knowledge of procurement process and best practices
  • Understanding of procurement practices and procedures
  • Excellent analytical skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Advanced language skills, specifically Spanish is a plus
  • Able to manage time efficiently and handle competing priorities
  • Able to work independently with little supervision
