About the role
- The mission of the Commercial Director is to align the company's customer-focused strategies with its overall business objectives, in order to promote customer satisfaction and revenue growth in the maritime transport sector.
- Establish, organize, and lead the sales teams to ensure management of the client portfolio and to identify growth opportunities within their scope.
- Develop commercial activities in line with the objectives set by the Group.
- Validate and challenge the commercial action plan developed by the Sales Manager.
- Implement management tools to monitor the performance of sales teams according to the Group's strategy, and proactively apply corrective actions when necessary.
- Promote products and services to clients and prospects.
- Regularly analyze market statistics and report findings to Executive Management and Regional Office teams.
Requirements
- More than 10 years' experience as a Key Accounts Manager.
- Strong expertise in the maritime transport sector (minimum 10 years' experience in liner shipping).
- Proven management skills.
- Excellent communication skills (ability to present different commercial scenarios to clients, executives, and middle management).
- Professional, positive attitude with the ability to manage stress in complex situations.
- Ability to effectively prioritize tasks and manage time optimally.
- Prior experience with the Salesforce platform.
- Analytical mindset with the ability to leverage data to inform decision-making.
