About the role
- Preparation of meeting briefs
- Prepare briefing notes for the Chairman for his meetings with:
- Company executives (clients, suppliers, industrial partners, investors)
- Operational leaders and departments in the sector (terminal and port management, shipping companies, freight forwarders, logistics providers, media, IT, AI)
- Representatives of professional organizations, industry federations and chambers of commerce where applicable
- Startups
- Financial institutions (banks, investment funds)
- International strategic partners and industrial networks
- Work closely with the person responsible for institutional notes to aggregate political and regulatory aspects related to the Group's presence
- Identify, request and consolidate relevant information from all branches of the Group to ensure a complete, coherent and up-to-date view of the Group's activities and presence related to the meeting: business divisions (liner shipping, port terminals, air freight, land logistics)
- Support functions (public affairs, communications, institutional relations, Foundation, media entities)
- Regional representatives & Country General Managers (GMs) worldwide
- Coordination with the Group's local offices
- Identify and compile inputs provided by the Group's branches, local representations or subsidiaries on ongoing projects, issues or partnerships
- Cross-reference this information with the institutional side
- Press monitoring and summaries
- Produce a daily morning press review for the Chairman (political, regulatory, economic, geopolitical, business, media)
- Write concise article summaries for the Chairman and his office
- Draft strategic notes
- Occasional preparation of background documents, issue briefs, talking points or briefings
Requirements
- Ability to synthesize, write clearly, and strong analytical skills
- Ability to interact with members of the executive committee in a high-demand, highly confidential environment
- Excellent command of French and English. Spanish is a plus
- Good understanding of the functioning of French, European and international institutions
- Familiarity with the economic ecosystem and sector dynamics in France, Europe and internationally
- Discretion, responsiveness, and a team spirit
- Autonomy and initiative
