About the role
- Overall responsibility for operational processes at the site (Inbound, Outbound, Planning)
- Leadership and development of department heads (Inbound/Outbound Operations Managers and Operations Planner)
- Ensuring KPI targets related to productivity, quality, safety and costs
- Close collaboration with Site Management, Finance, HR, QSHE (Quality, Safety, Health & Environment) and Customer Management
- Implementation and continuous improvement of Lean and process optimization measures
- Strategic and operational management of peak periods (e.g., Black Friday, Christmas)
- Management of shift models, resource planning and capacity management
- Shaping a high-performing, safe and motivating working culture
- Participation in cross-site projects and strategic initiatives
Requirements
- Completed degree in Logistics, Business Administration or Engineering
- Several years of professional experience in the operational management of large logistics sites
- Proven leadership experience managing teams of more than 500 employees
- Solid knowledge of e-commerce logistics, process management and operational excellence
- Experience with KPI management, Lean methodologies and change management
- Strong communication and leadership skills at all levels
- Very good German and English skills, both written and spoken
