About the role

  • Provide administrative and strategic support for HR-related activities for assigned business unit
  • Serves as contact for employees and answers questions regarding HR policies and procedures
  • Partners with HR Manager on issues involving policies and procedures, compensation, benefits,
  • Supports the recruitment and staffing functions within business unit, providing core customer service
  • Reviews, verifies and processes all new hire paperwork for accuracy and completeness
  • Assists with onboarding new hires
  • Provides reports concerning tracking of employee turnover, PTO, and other performance metrics
  • Completes other projects/tasks as assigned by HR Manager

Requirements

  • HS Diploma or GED required
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources Management or equivalent required
  • HR Certification desirable (SHRM/HRCI)
  • 3-5 years of human resources experience preferred
  • Specialized training in employment law, compensation, organizational planning, etc.
  • Experience in the administration of HR programs and policies
  • Excellent computer skills in a Microsoft Windows environment
  • Must include Excel and demonstrated skills in database management and record keeping
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Effective oral and written communication skills
  • Excellent interpersonal and coaching skills
  • Evidence of the practice of a high level of confidentiality
