About the role
- Provide administrative and strategic support for HR-related activities for assigned business unit
- Serves as contact for employees and answers questions regarding HR policies and procedures
- Partners with HR Manager on issues involving policies and procedures, compensation, benefits,
- Supports the recruitment and staffing functions within business unit, providing core customer service
- Reviews, verifies and processes all new hire paperwork for accuracy and completeness
- Assists with onboarding new hires
- Provides reports concerning tracking of employee turnover, PTO, and other performance metrics
- Completes other projects/tasks as assigned by HR Manager
Requirements
- HS Diploma or GED required
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources Management or equivalent required
- HR Certification desirable (SHRM/HRCI)
- 3-5 years of human resources experience preferred
- Specialized training in employment law, compensation, organizational planning, etc.
- Experience in the administration of HR programs and policies
- Excellent computer skills in a Microsoft Windows environment
- Must include Excel and demonstrated skills in database management and record keeping
- Excellent organizational skills
- Effective oral and written communication skills
- Excellent interpersonal and coaching skills
- Evidence of the practice of a high level of confidentiality
