About the role
- Ensure the timely and accurate submission of trade financial results to management in compliance with company policies and procedures
- Collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders to analyze financial data and support decision-making
- Preparing and submitting accurate trade financial results in a timely manner
- Analyzing financial data to identify trends, variances, and discrepancies
- Performing cost and revenue reconciliations for trade operations
- Ensuring compliance with company financial policies and procedures
- Collaborating with internal teams, such as Line Management, Operations, and Cost Control, to support financial processes
- Liaising with external stakeholders, including CMA CGM/ANL Representative Offices, on trade-related financial matters
- Assisting the Senior Trade Accountant in preparing detailed reports and supporting audits
Requirements
- A strong understanding of financial principles, accounting standards, and reporting
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
- Proficiency in financial systems and tools, with advanced skills in Microsoft Excel
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with internal teams and external stakeholders
- The ability to manage time effectively, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines
- A proactive and self-motivated approach to work, with the ability to work independently
- Relevant qualifications in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, with prior experience in a similar role being highly regarded
- Must be an Australian citizen or a permanent resident, or a New Zealand citizen planning to relocate permanently to Melbourne, Australia
