About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Take depositions, argue motions, and attend court hearings and mediations as required
Draft motions, pleadings, briefs, discovery requests and interrogatories, legal correspondence, and litigation documents
Conduct complex legal research and analysis and draft memoranda
Prepare status reports and recommendations to clients
Review document collections in preparation for litigation
Work on all aspects of litigation from the initial responsive pleading through trial
Represent airlines, airports, municipalities, automotive manufacturers, government contractors, retailers, manufacturers, and insurers in litigation matters

Requirements

What you’ll need

3–5 years of experience as a litigation attorney
Admitted to the California bar
Discovery and law and motion experience
Experience with California Lemon Law, including the Song-Beverly Consumer Warranty Act and Magnuson-Moss Warranty Act
State and federal court experience
Experience in aviation, products liability, or automotive warranty is ideal
Excellent academic credentials and work history
Superior writing and analytical skills
Strong interpersonal skills
Ability to handle highly sensitive matters
Ability to handle time-sensitive matters, sometimes several simultaneously
Ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects
Excellent organizational and time management skills
Ability to identify and resolve problems quickly
Strong work ethic and attention to detail
Ability to work within a team
