About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Take depositions, attend hearings, and participate in mediations as required.
Draft and submit pleadings, motions, and briefs.
Prepare correspondence to colleagues and clients.
Conduct legal research using Westlaw/Lexis/Nexis.
Draft discovery requests and discovery responses.
Review and analyze documents and materials for production.
Investigate claims and prepare case handling strategies.
Report to insurance carrier clients and insureds.
Prepare cases for trial or mediation and participate in trial or mediation.
Support Utah-related liability and insurance matters involving insurance coverage and bad faith, catastrophic injury and wrongful death, UIM defense, premises liability, trucking/transportation claims, and employment and property disputes.

Requirements

What you’ll need

Must be admitted to practice in Montana, Utah, or Idaho.
Civil litigation experience.
Excellent legal research, writing, and oral communication skills.
Strong organizational and time-management skills.
Ability to simultaneously handle sensitive and time-sensitive matters.
Effective problem-solving skills.
Ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects.
