Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Strong technical expertise in insurance and reinsurance law
  • Proven experience advising on complex coverage, claims, and policy interpretation matters
  • Demonstrated knowledge of the Bermuda insurance and reinsurance market, including regulatory frameworks, market practices, and cross-border considerations
  • Solid experience handling litigation, arbitration, and alternative dispute resolution in insurance and reinsurance disputes
  • Ability to manage and advise on large-scale, multi-jurisdictional matters
  • Ability to work seamlessly with international teams and clients
  • Proven track record in regulatory advisory work, including compliance with Bermuda Monetary Authority requirements and broader international regulations
  • Strong drafting and negotiation skills across policy wordings, coverage opinions, settlement agreements, and commercial contracts
  • Commercial acumen and ability to provide practical, business-oriented advice
  • Leadership qualities with experience mentoring junior associates and contributing to team development
  • Excellent client relationship management skills
