Advise international and domestic clients on complex insurance, reinsurance, and regulatory matters
Work closely with partners on high-value coverage disputes, transactional and corporate insurance work, and advisory mandates
Handle matters involving the Bermuda market’s legal and regulatory environment
Manage client relationships

Requirements

What you’ll need

Strong technical expertise in insurance and reinsurance law
Proven experience advising on complex coverage, claims, and policy interpretation matters
Demonstrated knowledge of the Bermuda insurance and reinsurance market, including regulatory frameworks, market practices, and cross-border considerations
Solid experience handling litigation, arbitration, and alternative dispute resolution in insurance and reinsurance disputes
Ability to manage and advise on large-scale, multi-jurisdictional matters
Ability to work seamlessly with international teams and clients
Proven track record in regulatory advisory work, including compliance with Bermuda Monetary Authority requirements and broader international regulations
Strong drafting and negotiation skills across policy wordings, coverage opinions, settlement agreements, and commercial contracts
Commercial acumen and ability to provide practical, business-oriented advice
Leadership qualities with experience mentoring junior associates and contributing to team development
Excellent client relationship management skills
