About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Run a full caseload of motor fraud claims and/or litigated motor personal injury claims
- Carry out investigations with live defenders and take witness statements
- Review and interpret medical records and medical reports
- Adhere to reporting and reserving requirements in relation to different client SLAs
- File management - including initial reports, updating reports and correspondence
- Attend court and pre-trial meetings, adhering to court timetables
- Draft all legal documents and client advice
- Deal with interlocutory proceedings, CMCs and client meetings
- Support marketing and business development activity with the team and wider Clyde & Co casualty group
Requirements
What you’ll need- Relevant Motor Fraud experience gained in a defendant firm
- Excellent knowledge of the litigation process
- Ability to run own caseload of files
- Experience with MIB claims would be beneficial
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
- Ability to work well under pressure
- Previous experience of managing own caseload is required
- Experience of personal injury litigation would be desirable
