About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Own technical delivery end to end across discovery, architecture, build, production, and post-launch support
Embed with client engineering and business teams
Translate business problems into architectures and explain architectures to executives
Build production applications and agentic systems in client environments
Develop LLM-backed workflows, agent orchestration, evaluation frameworks, and integrations with financial systems
Design APIs and systems integrations
Harden prototypes for regulated production environments through security review, audit trails, PII handling, and performance testing
Scope client requests and recommend appropriate solutions
Guide client engineers so they can maintain and extend delivered systems
Own difficult production problems in client infrastructure
Own implementation plans, sequence work, and delegate to internal and client-side engineers
Provide technical leadership without people management
Support account growth through successful solutions without carrying a revenue target or managing commercial conversations
Identify risks proactively
Leave documented, runnable, maintainable software after rotating off an engagement

Requirements

What you’ll need

6+ years shipping production software, full-stack
Python experience; .NET or Node accepted as substitutes
React or Next.js front-end experience
Experience leading the technical side of a delivery
Ability to own implementation plans, sequence work, and direct engineers without managing them
API design and systems integration experience
Experience integrating with old, poorly documented, load-bearing systems
Client-facing delivery experience, including discovery sessions and difficult stakeholder management
Production experience with LLMs and agents, including prompt engineering, agent development, evaluation frameworks, and deployment at scale
Application engineering experience rather than ML research
Comfort delivering value amid ambiguity
Ability to communicate precisely with engineers and clearly with executives
Experience scoping down client requests
Willingness to travel to client sites 20–30% of the time
Currently and legally authorized to work in the United States without current or future sponsorship
International relocation or remote work outside the United States will not be considered
