About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Proactively identify and engage potential clients across target sectors (e.g. education, corporate, and payments).
- Generate and qualify outbound leads through calls, email outreach, and social selling.
- Support pipeline development through consistent prospecting activity.
- Assist in managing the full sales lifecycle from initial outreach to deal closure.
- Conduct discovery calls to understand client needs and position TransferMate’s solutions effectively.
- Support demonstrations, proposals, and commercial negotiations under guidance from senior team members.
- Build strong, long-term relationships with prospective clients and key stakeholders.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records within CRM systems (e.g. Salesforce).
- Develop a strong understanding of TransferMate’s products, value proposition, and competitive positioning in the fintech/payments market.
- Stay informed on industry trends, customer challenges, and competitor activity.
- Work towards defined KPIs including activity levels, pipeline generation, and revenue contribution.
- Demonstrate continuous improvement through coaching, feedback, and training.
Requirements
What you’ll need- Recent graduate (or up to 1–2 years’ experience) in Business, Commerce, Finance, or a related discipline.
- Demonstrated interest in sales, fintech, or commercial roles.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and influence stakeholders.
- High levels of motivation, resilience, and a results-driven mindset.
- Commercial curiosity and the ability to quickly grasp technical/payment solutions.
- Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, target-driven environment.
- Previous internship or experience in sales, customer-facing, or commercial roles (desirable).
- Exposure to CRM systems or sales tools (desirable).
- Interest in international business and financial services (desirable).
