About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Build, prototype, and deploy AI agents and agentic solutions using Python, LLMs, and AWS services
  • Prepare and integrate data from internal systems and rigorously evaluate solution performance
  • Move solutions from prototype toward production with testing, monitoring, and documentation
  • Produce technical documentation, decision records, and status updates
  • Record time accurately and participate in Agile and Kanban practices, stand-ups, reviews, and retrospectives
  • Use Claude in day-to-day work and verify AI outputs appropriately, especially in regulated settings
  • Develop toward SFIA Level 3 across core engineering skills within the first year
  • Participate in live client problems, mentoring, in-person onboarding, and consulting-skills sessions

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • A strong degree, preferably 2:1 or above or a Master’s, in Data Science, Computer Science, or a closely related discipline
  • Solid programming ability, ideally in Python
  • Genuine interest in AI, data, and cloud engineering
  • Motivation to build a professional engineering career and develop quickly on live work
  • Clear, honest communication and a collaborative attitude
  • Willingness to ask for help and act on feedback
  • Eligibility for and willingness to undergo Developed Vetting (DV)
  • Ability to meet DV UK nationality and residency requirements
  • Hands-on LLM or AI agent framework experience is advantageous
  • Exposure to Python, AWS, Azure, GCP, Docker, or Linux is advantageous
  • Evidence of completing a project, dissertation, or side interest to a good standard
  • Interest in responsible AI use in regulated settings
  • Right to work in the UK
