About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Lead, develop, and inspire a team of cloud and infrastructure specialists
- Foster collaboration, psychological safety, and continuous growth
- Define and drive the cloud and infrastructure strategy and technical roadmap
- Align technical strategy with business goals and contribute to innovation initiatives with the CTO organization
- Oversee the design, implementation, and operation of scalable, secure, and cost-efficient cloud infrastructure solutions
- Ensure reliability, compliance, and performance across environments
- Manage capacities, skill mix, and utilization by identifying gaps and initiating hiring decisions with Talent Acquisition
- Ensure specialists are staffed to project demands in a timely and skill-appropriate manner
- Contribute to budget planning, including headcount projections, compensation, and skill development investments
- Monitor delivery KPIs and drive corrective actions with the VP Group Delivery
- Collaborate with Sales, Presales, Delivery, and People & Culture on planning, presales support, and communication between leadership and the team
Requirements
What you’ll need- Minimum 10 years of professional experience in software engineering, consulting, or a related field
- At least 5 years in a people leadership role
- Demonstrated experience leading managers and building high-performing organizations
- Deep technical expertise in cloud and infrastructure
- Hands-on experience with Azure, AWS, or GCP
- Experience with OpenShift, OpenStack, Kubernetes, Linux, containers, Ubuntu, CentOS, Docker, GitLab, TeamCity, SonarQube, Artifactory, Kafka, or ActiveMQ
- Proven track record in workforce planning, capacity management, and resource allocation across multiple teams or locations
- Ability to align staffing decisions with business priorities and client demands
- Strong understanding of utilization, billability, compensation structures, and cost management
- Experience contributing to budget planning and using workforce KPIs for data-informed decisions
- Ability to coach and develop leaders through feedback, performance management, and succession planning
- Excellent communication and influencing skills
- Experience collaborating with Sales, Delivery, Finance, Talent Acquisition, and executive leadership
- Fluency in German and English, written and spoken
