About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Drive technical discussions and implementations for new business, business expansion, and customer success
Qualify prospect and customer use cases and discover technical requirements
Lead demonstrations, identify and design solutions, and collaborate on proofs-of-concept
Advise existing customers on technical best practices, Cloudflare product implementation, and strategic guidance
Train and onboard new customers via videoconference or in person
Create documentation and support customers’ long-term technology strategies
Collaborate with Sales, Product, Engineering, and Customer Support teams
Travel 35–45% for prospect and customer meetings, conferences, industry events, and teammate collaboration

Requirements

What you’ll need

Understanding of internet technologies: OSI Model layers 1-7, routing TCP/UDP, DNS, HTTP(S), and SSL/TLS
Familiarity with SASE frameworks and technologies such as Secure Web Gateway, CASB, DLP, and SD-WAN
Comfort with on-premise infrastructure and networking configurations, including legacy systems or methodologies
Minimum 4 years of experience in a customer-facing sales or consulting role supporting the US Federal Government
Technical curiosity and passion for internet technology
Ability to translate complex technical concepts for varied audiences
Project management, relationship-building, and EQ skills
Experience with command-line interfaces, RESTful APIs, or browser web inspectors
Experience serving the US Department of Defense or DISA market segment
Graduate-level degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field is a bonus
Azure/AWS/GCP Architect certification is a bonus
Authorization to receive software or technology controlled under U.S. export laws without sponsorship for an export license may be required
